Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is the Mexican American sportscaster. She works for ESPN as the SportsCenter anchor for news. She began her career at ESPN in the year of 2016. She is the daughter of the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual by the time she turned nine. This ability which helped her obtain her first role as a Univision production assistant in Miami. There, she worked with the producers of television shows that were national, like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then she was promoted to an reporter at The CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Covering stories related to the trafficking of drugs and immigration across the border of Mexico and Texas. Border, she served as an anchor on the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 at 5pm, then an anchor for the news channel on English at 9 pm and after which she became a news anchor until 10 pm, and then returned to KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel. In addition, she was used occasionally as a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's affiliate station in Dallas. In that station, she was given greater accountability. She covered all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. She was the producer of Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra as anchor. She was a host of sports for the morning show on Despierta America Deportes. In addition, she served as anchor of the sports segment on Primer Impacto, a magazine program that airs on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents were born in Veracruz Mexico. They eventually were moved into Mexico City where she was born on 22 November 1985. She has an older sister. The family moved from Mexico to Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. Her parents divorced soon after in 1995. Her mother was remarried to an architect from the naval profession known as Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in 2006. The summer in 2006 she spent a week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed at the time. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school, but she had a clear idea of her goals for the future. She visited Mount Union University in order to determine if they suited her. At the end of the day she fell in love with the campus. They also offered her a an academic major. When she finished high school, she made the decision to enroll at the university to pursue a degree with Media Studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor - was also the managing director at WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. Mark's passion for journalism and confidence in herself encouraged her. She in turn was determined to achieve his expectations and never disappoint him.
